AS OF JULY 2008 I HAVE GOTTEN OVER 20,000 PAGE VIEWS ON THIS SECTION OF MY WEBSITES

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED TO DO THIS

On the bottom of the page are some "quick links" if you know where you want to go from here. :)

Well the FSM RR is no more. But I did take a final run and captured it on video for you to see if you wish. Enjoy :)

I have made a new webpage just for the videos. I hope you find something helpful there. Enjoy :)

Final run of the FSM RR

From here and below is the old layout and tutorials. Enjoy :)

Sit back and enjoy the show.

Ok let's start with the basics here.

Making Stub Switches

I also have made videos as well on how I made my stub switches and theycan be found here:

Making Scenery

Here is where I will have info on structures I am making. Buildings, bridges, tunnels etc. I hope you find it useful.

I made a small video on how to ballast. Unfortunately I forgot to "prewet" the area with wet water [a drop of dish soap and water] but that's ok. You can do it now that you know about it. :) Just prewet the area you want to apply glue to is all. No problem. :) Enjoy.

Added some "scale" model railroading newspapers that you can get here.

I am hoping to get more picture and with your help maybe a nice collection going that we can all share. :)

Ballasting 101 video

Or download it from here

Ballasting track

I make my own rail gauges and thought I would pass along how I do it. Enjoy. Also you can find a video of me making them here as well.

Just some things I have learned that I thought might be useful to you.

Model RR Links

Well my 0-4-0 Porter just came in and I have some pics for you to enjoy here.
Also since then I got my Shay as well. You can enjoy the pics of it there as well. :)

Here I have some pictures of my layout. Nothing special in that there are no instructions etc. Just an overview of my layout over time. The pictures are large but each contain many pictures like a collage.

Some people had asked for this so I thought I would do it for those who wanted it.
I hope you like them.
Overview Pictures

I have added a set of checklists that you may find helpful when planning out your layout etc.

You can find them here
